About Us

Who is building Ottroo, and why a search layer

The market does not lack parts. It lacks a way to see them. That distinction is the whole reason the company exists.

In short

Ottroo is a Belgian B2B initiative started by people from inside the automotive trade. It is deliberately a search layer rather than another marketplace: it does not buy, hold or own stock, and it does not sit in the transaction. It serves body shops, garages, dismantlers, insurers and leasing companies in Belgium and the Benelux. Onboarding is running now, with Go Live planned for Q4 2026.

Why Ottroo exists

Ottroo grew out of an observation everyone in the trade knows: the part you're looking for usually already exists. It's sitting on a shelf at a fellow business, listed on a specialised platform, or held by a dismantler. The only problem is that no one can see that at a glance. The result is rounds of phone calls, wait times and cases that stay open longer than needed.

At the same time, on the other side of that same market, usable stock sits ageing unused. Circular working is no longer an ideological choice in the automotive trade but an economic one — the problem is that today it's still more cumbersome than ordering new. Our conviction in one sentence: circular should be simpler than new.

What we're building

A single search by brand, model or OEM number that simultaneously queries the stock of fellow businesses, specialised platforms and dismantlers. Results start locally and expand to region, Benelux and Europe. Ottroo is the signpost: the transaction runs directly between the two businesses.

Who we're building it for

  • Body shops and garages who want to close a case faster;
  • Dismantlers and processors who want their supply visible to professional buyers;
  • Businesses with dormant stock who want to turn it into cash;
  • Insurers and leasing companies who want to manage claims cost without compromising on quality.

Ottroo is B2B only. There is no consumer offering, and that's a deliberate choice: professional buyers and sellers have different needs when it comes to references, volume and invoicing.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ottroo?

Ottroo is a Belgian B2B search platform for car parts that brings together the supply of fellow businesses, specialised platforms and dismantlers in a single search, with local results first.

Is Ottroo already available?

Onboarding of businesses and partners is underway, and subscriptions are available. The platform launch is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Can private individuals use Ottroo?

No. Ottroo is intended exclusively for businesses in the automotive trade: body shops, garages, dismantlers, refurbishers, insurers and leasing companies.

In which countries is Ottroo active?

Ottroo starts in Belgium and targets the Benelux, with expansion into the neighbouring markets of France and Germany.

Why not simply build another parts marketplace?

Because the stock is not missing, it is invisible. A marketplace asks everyone to move their inventory somewhere new; a search layer reads the sources that already exist and points you at them, which is a far shorter route to the same result.

What does Ottroo deliberately not do?

It does not buy parts, does not hold stock, does not take a commission on the deal and does not step between the two businesses. Those are all decisions, not gaps to be filled later.
